Surface Preparation & Application

• Inspect Surface: Ensure concrete, plaster, or fiberglass is structurally sound and free of loose, weak, or crumbling areas. Repair defects using hydraulic cement or appropriate patching compound.
• Clean Thoroughly: Use Ramuc Clean and Prep Solution to remove grease, oils, scale, and other contaminants. This also opens the surface pores to promote coating adhesion.
• Abrade as Needed: For previously coated epoxy or fiberglass surfaces, sand thoroughly with 60–80 grit paper to create a uniform profile for adhesion.
• Perform Condensation Test: Ensure surface is completely dry before painting by taping 2'x2' plastic sheets to various areas. After 4 hours, check for trapped condensation. Do not paint if moisture is present.
• Mix Properly:
  • Pre-mix Part A and Part B separately for 5 minutes each using a mechanical drill mixer until fully uniform in consistency.
  • Combine Part A and Part B in a 1:1 ratio by volume (e.g., pour the entire contents of one Part A can into one Part B can). Mix thoroughly for 20 minutes using a drill mixer. Hand-mixing is not recommended.
  • Allow the mixed product to stand (induction time) for 20 to 45 minutes at 70°F (21°C) and 50% relative humidity before application.
• Apply Two Coats: Apply with a 3/8” mohair or lambskin roller. Wait 16–72 hours between coats. If recoating after 72 hours, sand the surface before the next coat to ensure adhesion.
• Control Environment: Apply only in dry conditions with air and surface temperatures above 50°F (10°C). Avoid application in high humidity or when rain is expected within 24 hours. Allow at least 5–7 days for full curing before filling the pool with water.

Not Recommended For

• Use on uncured plaster or concrete (must be fully cured for at least 28 days)
• Painting in rain, fog, or high-humidity conditions
• Use with silicone-based sealants or unetched smooth fiberglass surfaces
• Full-pool application of dark colours - recommended for accent use only due to potential fading or excessive heat absorption
