Liquid Rubber Multipurpose Primer

Liquid Rubber Multipurpose Primer is a clear, single-component primer designed to improve adhesion before applying Liquid Rubber membranes and coatings. It helps reduce moisture vapour drive and creates a hard, clear film once dry.

This primer is suitable for properly prepared wood, concrete, fiberglass, metal, PVC, and other tested coatings. It can be applied by brush, roller, or airless sprayer, making it practical for deck coating and waterproofing preparation work.

Instructions

• Apply one to two coats depending on how absorbent the substrate is.
• Apply to a dry surface that is free from dirt, dust, debris, oil, grease, silicone, laitance, efflorescence, and other contaminants that may prevent adhesion.
• Recommended coating thickness is 4-5 mils DFT.
• Apply topcoat as soon as possible after the primer has dried to the touch and is uniform in colour.
• Do not apply within 24 hours of rain or when rain is forecast within 24 hours.
• Do not apply below 10°C / 50°F.

PRO TIP

For best results, apply the primer directly to a clean, dry, properly prepared substrate. Remove loose or flaky coatings first, since poor adhesion from old paint or coating layers can affect the final waterproofing system. For EPDM and TPO surfaces, use the dedicated EPDM and TPO primer instead.
