Liquid Rubber Seam Tape is a peel-and-stick waterproof tape used to seal seams, joints, tears, copings, flashings, skylights, gutters, and other areas where water penetration is a concern. It adds strength to seam joints while helping create a watertight repair area before coating.
This tape bonds to a wide range of surfaces, including EPDM, TPO, most PVC, SBS, APP, BURs, metal roofs, tiles, shingles, aluminum, galvanized steel, wood, propylene, polystyrene, fiberglass, brick, concrete, masonry, OSB, and more. It is commonly used on residential and commercial buildings, mobile homes, and RVs.
Why Choose Liquid Rubber Seam Tape?
-
Waterproof Seal: Helps prevent humidity and water penetration at seams, joints, and repair areas.
-
Strong Adhesion: Bonds to many common roofing, building, and waterproofing surfaces.
-
Flexible Repair: Conforms to odd-shaped surfaces and remains flexible down to -35°C.
-
Peel-and-Stick Application: Installs quickly by removing the backing and pressing the tape into place.
-
Coating Ready: Designed to accept Liquid Rubber coatings over its polyester backing.
-
Repair Versatility: Useful for roof seams, tears, flashings, skylights, gutters, RVs, and mobile homes.
Instructions
- Clean and dry the surface before application.
- Make sure the surface is free from dust, dirt, oils, flaking material, salts, silicone, and other contaminants that may affect adhesion.
- Remove the backing film and install the tape directly over the repair area.
- Roll or rub the tape firmly onto the surface to activate the bonding process.
- Coat over the tape with a compatible Liquid Rubber Sealant, since Seam Tape is not UV stable when left exposed.
PRO TIP
Use Seam Tape anywhere movement, seams, or transitions may create a weak point in the waterproofing system. After pressing it firmly into place, always coat over it with a compatible Liquid Rubber coating to protect the tape from UV exposure and complete the waterproofing repair.
