Hikari Stress-X Water Conditioner is designed to help reduce stress and support the natural protective slime coat of aquarium and pond fish. Its specialized formula helps condition water while replacing damaged skin slime with a synthetic polymer closely matching the composition of a fish's natural slime coat.

This trusted conditioner also helps detoxify nitrite and heavy metals, including copper, while adding essential electrolytes and boosting alkalinity. It is ideal for use during water changes, fish transport, acclimation, or whenever fish show signs of stress.

Why Choose Hikari Stress-X Water Conditioner?

  • Slime Coat Support: Helps replace damaged protective slime coating on fish.
  • Stress Reduction: Ideal during water changes, transport, or stressful conditions.
  • Heavy Metal Detoxification: Detoxifies nitrite and heavy metals including copper.
  • Chlorine Treatment: Breaks chloramine bonds and removes chlorine and free ammonia.
  • Electrolyte Support: Adds essential electrolytes to support fish health.
  • Boosts Alkalinity: Helps stabilize water conditions.
  • Broad Compatibility: Compatible with most liquid and powder test kits and chelated copper treatments.
  • Safe Regular Use: Will not inhibit bodily functions when used as directed.

Good stuff

I use this whenever I do water changes. Easy to use and my fish seem to do well with it.

Useful for water changes and stress

Good conditioner to have on hand for water changes or when fish are stressed. I like that it treats the water and also supports the slime coat, so it feels a bit more complete than a basic dechlorinator. Easy to dose and useful for regular aquarium maintenance.
