Old Masters Ascend Exterior Water-Based Clear Finish is a durable protective coating designed for exterior wood and painted wood surfaces. It contains ultraviolet absorbers to help protect against sun exposure while maintaining a clear, natural look.
This finish dries quickly, cleans up easily with soap and water, and can be used on properly prepared railings, outdoor furniture, above waterline marine surfaces, and exterior doors. It may also be applied to interior windowsills and door frames for added UV protection.

Do Not Use On: Wooden decks, steps, fences, log homes, surfaces below the waterline, or areas subject to foot traffic.
Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Do not use over shellac, lacquer, fillers, stains, or sealers containing stearates. Do not use steel wool. Remove sanding dust with a vacuum or damp cloth - do not use a tack rag.
Application: Stir thoroughly before and during use. Do not shake. Apply with a synthetic fiber brush, foam brush, flat pad, sprayer, or short nap roller followed immediately by brushing to remove bubbles. Apply full, even coats in the direction of the grain. Do not over apply or over brush. Three coats are recommended for minimum protection, with additional coats for direct sun exposure.
Wait 24 hours before light use. Surfaces exposed to direct sunlight may require annual recoating to maintain gloss and prevent cracking or peeling.
Lead Warning: Scraping or sanding old paint may release lead dust. Follow proper safety procedures including use of a NIOSH approved respirator and thorough cleanup methods.
Caution: Do not take internally. Protect from freezing. Keep out of reach of children.
PRO TIP
Thoroughly coat all sides of your project, including undersides and end grain. If moisture can enter from an unsealed surface, it can lift the finish from underneath and cause premature failure.
