New Wood: Sand with medium grit progressing to fine grit, always sanding with the grain.
Previously Finished Surfaces: Sand with 220 grit sandpaper to remove gloss and imperfections.
Stained Surfaces: Allow oil-based stains to dry a minimum of 48 hours before top coating. Do not sand uncoated stained surfaces.
Application: Stir thoroughly before and during use. Do not shake. Apply with a synthetic brush, foam brush, flat pad, sprayer, or lambswool applicator for large flat areas. Apply full, even coats with the grain and maintain a wet edge. Avoid creating bubbles. Allow 1-2 hours before recoating and lightly sand between coats with 220 grit sandpaper. Three coats are recommended for maximum durability.
This product appears milky in the can but dries clear. A slight soft wood amber tone may be noticeable over white or pastel paints and stains. Testing is recommended when applying over painted or stained surfaces.
Wait 24 hours before light use. Use caution during the first week as the finish continues curing. Protect from freezing.
Lead Warning: Scraping or sanding old paint may release lead dust. Follow proper safety precautions including use of a NIOSH-approved respirator and thorough cleanup procedures.
PRO TIP
When finishing floors, consider adding the recommended Part B Hardener for improved chemical resistance and durability. For best results, maintain consistent room temperature and humidity during application and drying to achieve an even, professional finish.
