Surface Preparation & Application

  • Clean thoroughly using Ramuc Clean and Prep Solution; power wash to remove dirt, chalking, and loose paint.
  • Repair cracks or weak areas with hydraulic cement or polyurethane sealant (avoid silicone-based fillers).
  • Check surface dryness with a condensation test before painting.
  • Apply two coats using a 3/8” mohair or lambskin roller - box multiple gallons for color consistency.
  • Avoid rain during the cure period; extend drying time if rain occurs.

Not Recommended For

  • Bare fiberglass, hot tubs, or spas (use Ramuc EP or Hi-Build Epoxy instead)
  • New or uncoated surfaces (Type A2 is not intended as a first coat)
  • Dark colors as full-pool finishes - use only as accents (risk of fading or blistering)

  • Recommended Use: Recoating previously painted rubber-based pool surfaces
  • Colors: Dawn Blue, White, Black
  • Finish: Gloss
  • Coverage: 200–300 sq. ft./gal on bare surfaces, 300–400 sq. ft./gal on recoats
  • Application Temp: 50°F – 90°F (10°C – 32°C)
  • Recoat Time: 24 hours (must sand if more than 72 hours between coats)
  • Cure Time: 5–7 dry days (outdoor), 10–14 days (indoor)
